[ReX - NoLA Rising]

Howdy Everyone!

This weekend, NoLA Rising would like you to go out and support your local
bookstores.  With the opening of the new Borders megastore on St. Charles
Avenue, those small bookstores that have been our friends and neighbors
since childhood will now be feeling extra holiday crunch.  If you were
planning on purchasing books for someone special this holiday season,
remember the small guys like you and me.  There's Deville books at 134
Carondelet and then there's also the Garden District Bookshop in The Rink on
the corner of Prytania and Washington.  Let's keep New Orleans original!

Thanks and I hope to see everyone next weekend at the NoLA Rising Art Swap
for Toys for Tots.  Saturday, Dec 13th, from 5 to 9 at The Green Projects
upstairs Green Room, bring us a brand new toy in a box and get a piece of
artwork in return.  The toys will then be donated to the United States
Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.
