A group of Florida business owners in New Orleans this week are cashing in on post-Katrina real estate opportunities. ?Their trip comes almost a year after the World Trade Center of New Orleans brought a group of real estate developers to Miami to market New Orleans.

I find it quite odd that New Orleans is so intent on seeking out people in Florida....in the
newspaper yesterday I read of a symposium dedicated to bringing in Florida
contractors and builders to the New Orleans area.....Excuse me, but, being in the
construction industry, I know that there are PLENTY of New Orleans/Louisiana-based contractors
that are more than able to fill any building 'boom' supposedly coming soon.....
 
So why did the city of New Orleans bring in Florida contractors....and not invite
Louisiana contractors?
 
Sorry, but something stinks here....
