    Today, I rode my bike to City Hall, arriving at 4:30.  I got in the back of the line in the street with friends and had a wonderful conversation. When we got inside the Hall, we were seated which was welcome treat for a grandpa. If you know me, you know I had to walk around the whole place, visit with friends in line and strike up conversations with strangers. Unbelievably patient, everyone was on a mission of Hope. Finally, at 7:10, the fastest 3 hours and 10 minutes later, I voted and it was almost as good as sex; never been much for quickies. Afterwards, I sat on the steps of City Hall to savor the moment. On my way home thru the Quarter and the Marigny, I reflected on my experiences in Presidential elections.Some of  the people you will recognize, some you may never have heard of:  Bobby Kennedy, Terry Sanford, Fred Harris, Ted Kennedy, Jesse Jackson Sen. Paul Simon, Tom Harkins, Howard Dean, Barack Obama.  Today was the first time in my life that I got to vote for the person that I supported in the beginning and did not have to choose the lesser of two evils.
    Tomorrow, Tues., please get your friends, neighbors, children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, husbands, wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, lovers, colleagues, yourself to the polls. Oui on peut!!!
