[MarignyBywater] Nagin's proposed property tax increase

For forty years virtually illiterate children have graduated from New Orleans' schools, in recent years, criminal activity is completely out of control in our city streets and stories of rampant political misconduct in city and state government appear in the newspaper frequently.  Considering the value we citizens receive, property tax has been nothing but legalized theft.
 
Since 2005, property values have dropped while assessed property values have skyrocketed.  And the mayor wants more?   The citizens of New Orleans are being looted and we should treat those responsible as the hoodlums they are.
 
Meanwhile, New Orleans property owners appear trapped, unable to escape.

This is another stupid idea from the idiot.
The economy in New Orleans and elsewhere dictates that this 
should not be done.
Instead I suggest that Nagin fire his do nothing planner, Ed
Blakely and the rest of his incompetent staff.  
Why give the Nagin administration more money to waste?
