well, since 2005 there are so much fewer tax payers so the rest of us
have to make up for it if we want the same services as before.
Or else stop spending so much money. Can you imagine how much it
costs daily to operate the massive prison complex by Tulane and Broad?
Other states don't allow any person to be jailed on misdemeanor. In
Orleans at any point in time the majority of people being held in
Orleans Parish Prison, is held on misdemeanors but unable to pay the
outrageous bond amounts.
Or ask why the District Attorney's office needs three times as many
lawyers as the Public Defenders has.
Which way are we going to shrink the pie?
