The Old Fashioned Daiquiri
Despite popular belief in New Orleans, the Daiquiri is not to be enjoyed in a slushy
form in a 20 oz styrofoam cups. Though I got to say I still love my 32 oz Mardi
Gras Mambo from Pub Zero!
Check out the true recipe here [http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?et=1102676638946&s=2797&e=001dMTkH-qdr9RkHscOh4Y7P7KdipMQDtZsGl_GEfxNxIj7tlNgMJDkUN5_HAfy0a1aeahteS6y-UDjt9tw7t8LcJGUHwk6-9c9meuLlNxHQBgm7G1ZJJyoFYxW9aT1X5WVnNduyXNTtBSH5ueU7AfVZg==]!

Burlesque Is Back And Old New Orleans Rum is in the Front Row
New Orleans has been known for its "skin"-tillating shows since the early 1900s.
The Age of Burlesque on Bourbon Street was cut short in the 1960s, when the New
Orleans D.A. "cleaned up" the Quarter, now inhabited by many a strip club boasting
more flesh than flash. Rick Delaup [http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?et=1102676638946&s=2797&e=001dMTkH-qdr9QaMtsKdsCIGucV7rgMPO_pFsPL4BMS4PmJMAAY-hxFm_uO-gp5pnGZkAmgirQnvuH9T6TeKXdkDXy4Yz2QSx4I0tDrRBsdpz1hx78PHnqp_JYm5OtdlAMKjyq4Y73ezEtWMSeDqS9PbQ==],
founder of Bustout Burlesque, has been the leading force behind bringing Burlesque
back to its former glory. With this in mind, Delaup is throwing the first Annual
New Orleans Burlesque Fest [http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?et=1102676638946&s=2797&e=001dMTkH-qdr9QY8jyIIBo4ajhTuldPZBA-cxqhpc6Eui3ZU6doKBtIxP1zm7k2rqqiOWUHkX3XftiZvHUQ4ZmNt3OtMRLPuTlTHOI2mDq3leUvtbTayHLwH0XpU42UzkWY18WkrHmYi6U=],
a three-night celebration of world-class Burlesque entertainment at Harrah's, Sept.
11-13. Old New Orleans Rum is rolling out the red carpet for the Burlesque elites
from all over the country with a Fishnet-working Social Hour in the Green Bar at
the Westin, Sept. 11, Friday from 5:30 to 8:00 PM to kick off the weekend of festivities.

aka Evangeline the Oyster Girl, a legend in the Burlesque world, will be the honorary
host and will toast the event! Guests of the fest, Burlesque enthusiasts, and the
Burlesque-curious are all invited to join us at the Fishnet-working Social Hour
to drink to the New Age of Burlesque!

What Goes Better With A Regatta Than Old New Orleans Rum?
Sails away on Lake Pontchartrain! Old New Orleans Rum sponsored a night of New Orleans
Yacht Club sailboat races this past week. We watched from the Committee boat as
50-plus sailboats precariously drifted passed one another in the rays of the falling
sun. In the dark of night, we buzzed in the winners of the 5 different categories
calling out their sail numbers and official names. Third place received signature
hats, second place received Distillery Tour passes, and first place received a prized
bottle of Old New Orleans Rum. After the race, Old New Orleans Rum decided to spread
the wealth by offering a taste of our sailor's delight to all that participated.
Needless to say, we've been invited back to warm a spot on the deck of most of
the boats at the NOYC as long as we're toting a bottle along for the ride! To see
the results of the Old New Orleans Rum Regatta, click here [http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?et=1102676638946&s=2797&e=001dMTkH-qdr9QXxUPuEJYO2b2ocbXWZCgIS49pATS22xtHfwTpu_JQpoqvv4HDbyXax87hrU_b_MOBJHxCcWDK4TKZYVFI74smOGiUbdwQGLsFGyBzqIwk-vC0RXpF5B8M].

The Warriors Are Kickin' Balls And Taken Names
After the end of the regular KOCC [http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?et=1102676638946&s=2797&e=001dMTkH-qdr9TOGxv5hdSV0fZu9ZysghemCZuvrqyrHbvRZTFs4L6Y9nNjKLil29EgrCiti4cu7L8EqmcpxGw_B0kQMm6o_OYhBLo2GqCS62wZMNPOYTHoPQ==]
season, the Warriors, an Old New Orleans Rum and Slice Pizzeria-sponsored kick-a**
kickball team, is tied for first place going into the championship game with the
Bushwhackers. During the Fall season, the Warriors and the Bushwhackers (then the
Untouchables) dueled it out in the finals with the Bushwhackers reigning supreme
in the end. This year, the Warriors are seeking their revenge. Although the Warriors
only have two returning veterans from last year, many of the team's new players
are KOCC veterans who have won several championships this year. With past champions
and several collegiate athletes in the Warrior arsenal, there is little sweat on
their brows about the championship game this Sunday at 4:00 PM. Come watch the
action at St. Patrick's Park [http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?et=1102676638946&s=2797&e=001dMTkH-qdr9TM6qiK1dcHofNBgoUp3BIHmkny5JOjMytju9mpjzsgnUjT-1E4gDcDUmcfXI7Zu_L8DgeyHSS0VCDSUShC7wrzGMVXbPVPMETV7xJz19wHgjfavRojiMJCN1vobLP6VsMbxJp96jF62B9ALTTiLvkIjEObAo-IAo2qeb6SKw51P0hVLrkqYJpBrlJlze-25iw=].
