Dear Friends and Members:

On February 14, 2009, the 6t'9 Social Aid & Pleasure Club will present it's Second Annual Valentine's Day "Float Moving Tumble". Whether you love this day or hate this day, this is the gig you want to be at!

Our motif this year is:  Cloud 6t'9

We are taking it up a notch and transforming one of the Halloween floats into something the likes of which, we believe, has never rolled before. Ever. In order to encourage you to help us move it, we've hired the Big 7 Brass Band and made plans to tumble to a few watering holes along the way! As usual, to make it more fun, your most heartfelt costumes are requested. Our colors are Red, Pink, White and Chocolate. We throw Valentines candy and handmade treats, so be sure to bring a little love to spread around.

Starting with a Supper Brunch at the Country Club from 3:00pm - 6:00pm, (where they are extending their full brunch menu and reasonably priced sandwiches will be available), we leave promptly at 6:00pm. The band will kick off, and we will head up Royal Street to Mimi's, the R-Bar and One Eyed Jacks. There may be a few special stops along the way as well. We then head back down Chartres Street through Jackson Square to Harry's Corner and end just off Frenchman Street next to Cafe Brazil. 

In order to finance this, we printed 1000 raffle tickets with amazing prizes like a case of fine red wine, a limited edition fine art print called "speed" by body painting artist Craig Tracy, and two sets of tickets to the Backyard Ballroom's next production. Our heartfelt thanks to those who donated the prizes and the many of you who have been selling raffle tickets to finance our offering. We need you to bring your ticket stubs and the money you collected to the 6t'9 Clubhouse this Friday Night. This is VERY important!!

PLEASE BRING YOUR TICKET STUBS AND THE MONEY YOU COLLECTED TO THE CLUBHOUSE - 1020 ST. CLAUDE - THIS FRIDAY NIGHT!! IF YOU CANNOT, PLEASE CALL ONE OF US TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR US TO GET THIS FROM YOU. 

After our tumble we are invited to help with the Social Aid of our City and attend the Voodoo Ballerina King Cake Soiree right down the street. As it is a benefit, we are asked to contribute a $25.00 donation per couple at the door. This includes free beer and rum drinks all night long, and an amazing musical line up from Gov' Majic to the New Orleans BINGO Show. This is quite a bargain for $12.50. YOU MUST BE IN FULL COSTUME TO GO TO THIS PARTY -- THIS IS NEW ORLEANS AND THEY WILL NOT LET YOU IN FOR LOVE OR MONEY WITHOUT ONE!!!  For more information:  http://www. voodooballerina. com/
