Ronalda Frank makes the "MOST" compelling, logical and rational view in this recall debate from which I have been neutral until "NOW"!  On the national scene, When history looks back at the last eight years, it will not be kind to George Bush and Dick Cheney.

We already know a lot - war profiteering and no-bid contracts, torture and secret prisons, and of course the lies that got us into this war in the first place. They turned the Justice Department, the nation's top law enforcement authority, into a political tool. They wrote secret legal memos in an attempt to override the Constitution. The list goes on and on.

We know what's happened, but there is so much that remains hidden. We must find out the truth, exactly what happened, who authorized it and when. This is the first step to ensure that these abuses can never happen again.

Remember the last time a Republican President broke the law? Congress established the Church Commission to investigate Richard Nixon and Watergate. Recently, the New York Times credited that effort with leading "directly to a series of reforms" curbing executive power and restoring the Constitution.

Now Senator Patrick Leahy is demanding we know the truth about George Bush. Next Wednesday, Senator Leahy will hold the first hearing working to establish a Truth Commission, but there are members of Congress standing in his way. He needs your help.

DFA and Senator Leahy are gathering grassroots support to push back against members of Congress who want to stop us. Together, we need to arm Senator Leahy with 100,000 signatures of proud Americans working to restore our Constitution and return the rule of law.

The more grassroots support we prove, the harder it will be for those who want to stop us to succeed. Without our support and without a Truth Commission, these illegal activities will be swept under the rug.

The abuses of any President that go unchecked and unquestioned, become legally-accepted precedent. Only if Congress takes action can we protect our country and the world from a lawless American President in the future.

Locally in Louisiana we evidenced actions of a Governor (Bobby Jindal) that has also declared war on the most economically disadvantaged citizens in this state by denying unemployment compensation funds under the disguise of raising taxes. There are ways that this Executive could have helped ease the tax burden with tools that is in place by law. Since Mr. Jindal have chosen "NOT" to look out for the best interests of the people and pursue his personal agenda, Mr. Jindal has violated the oath he took and deserves to be "RECALLED" as Governor of Louisiana. We cannot afford to "WAIT" until the next election to get this state affairs in order if this Governor refuses to govern for the benefit of all. I understand the concerns of some of the fellow members of my own party that suggests restraint and let the electoral process take care of itself but we can no longer afford to allow some of our fellow citizens to be thrown by the wayside like useless cattle
 at a time of severe economic calamity. I will be soon asking the Leaders of the Louisiana Democratic Party and leading private citizens to coordinate and facilitate actions designed to promptly restore dignity of our state government. Finally, if you have done a formal or informal poll, you will find that at least half of the people "FAVOR" the removal of Governor Bobby Jindal as Governor of Louisiana. It is time to restore Louisiana physically, mentally and reputationally as a great place to visit, live and raise a family. I STRONGLY suggest you contact your Democratic Party Officials and Democratic Elected Officials to facilitate the actions  (which include contacting your newspapers editors and radio talk shows) that need to happen for the best interests of the State of Louisiana. As I stated earlier, it is not time for the sit by and be reactive. It is time to be "PROACTIVE"!   Thank you for everything you have done in this past historic
