There is a quality of life issue I am hoping someone can help solve. Every
Friday and Saturday night a taco truck sets up at the corner of Frenchmen
and Royal street, in the 700 block of Frenchmen. The problem is that the
taco truck patrons drop trash all along the Frenchmen and Royal sidewalks
bordering Washington square, and toss it into the park. The driver does not
pick up the trash. Even if he did pick up every piece of trash, which he
wont, how is this fair to anyone on Frenchmen paying rent, property taxes,
employee costs, and trash pick up? There are plenty of spaces available for
development on Frenchmen for a new business. Also, the "van" has no tags or
plates, what's up with that? If you lived in the 700 block would you want
food trash and the rats it attracts in front of your home? If this guy has
paid someone off or he is related to a local politico, could he at least be
moved into the 600 block so you can make your street cleaner clean up his
mess? Thanks All
