Really?! This is our quality of life issue? The fact we can buy some
food on Frenchman Street?
Silly me. I thought it was getting mugged or having our neighbors
gunned down in the streets or in their houses.
Guess I was looking at the wrong issues.
Here's an idea: Have you spoken to the proprietor? I'm not being flip
here. How many times in the years I have lived here have I seen issues
like this discussed on line or in FMIA meetings -- where everyone is
"outraged" -- without anyone walking up to the person and just asking
-- Hey, any chance you could have your people clean this up at the end
of each night? He might not do it but it is a good place to start --
the human-to-human level should never be overlooked. There is always
an opportunity to escalate later if you need to.
Best,
Geoff
