[MarignyBywater] Grocery Store

I got a coupon ($5. off with a $10 purchase) redeemable at the Save-A-Lot grocery store at 1841 Almonaster Ave (where Franklin Ave & Almonaster merge).
 
The store is newly refurbished and clean (that's a good start).  As I checked prices I was a bit more enthusiastic.   Milk was $2.79; I've been paying nearly $4. at WinnDixie.  The canned vegetables I bought were $.59 a can!   OK, you will have to ditch some of the upscale labels but then I shop few items by label anyway.  Fresh vegetables were less expensive as well.  Most (not all!) products were better priced for my budget.  The store is not crowded so there is some room for future expansion of their product lines.
 
>From now on, before heading to WinnDixie, I'll be making a stop at Save-A-Lot first and only buy those few items that may be a "must have" item at the more-expensive WinnDixie.  Since Save-A-Lot is on the way to WinnDixie for Marigny residents anyway, I think you may have the same thought.
