St Martin’s Episcopal School is putting on a play this weekend at the National WWII
Museum. Both Saturday and Sunday at 1pm, they will perform Song
of Survival. This is a very talented cast who is performing here at
the museum to go along with our special exhibit, Fighting For Democracy.
The play itself is free and open to the public and anyone watching the
play will receive 2-for-1 admission to the galleries. This is a
great chance to support young people in the community who are telling a
poignant story about World War II experiences.

Here’s the blurb:

Based on the autobiographical work
of Helen Colijn, who survived three-and-a-half years of internment in Japanese
prisoner-of-war camps, Song of Survival is "a stunning drama about women
interned during World War II in Japanese prisoner of war camps and the music
they created to sustain themselves. For more information call 504-527-6012
