•Bayou Boogaloo Is Back•

In the midst of festival season, Bayou Boogaloo brings you a myriad of
music acts, mouth-watering food vendors and an appealing art market
that alone is worth making the trip out to the banks of St. John's
Bayou and North Jefferson Davis Parkway.  And that's not even the best
part, the fest is FREE!  Last year's crowds set attendance records and
we hope to grow even more this year.  Some come out, bring your
friend, your neighbor and your family to The Fourth Annual Mid City
Bayou Boogaloo Festival!


What's Bayou Boogaloo?

The Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo is a community music festival organized
for
the purpose of both providing a community-building experience and
raising funds for charities supported by the Mothership Foundation.

The festival is held annually on Memorial Day weekend on the banks of
Bayou
Saint John in New Orleans.

The spirit of the festival captures the spirit of this diverse and
historic neighborhood. It is a family friendly cultural event that
celebrates the heritage of New Orleans music, New Orleans cuisine, and

New Orleans culture.

An All Around Friendly Fest

Bayou Boogaloo has always been family friendly, boasting a kid stage
as well as games and activities for the little ones. But this year,
Boogaloo is also befriending the environment with Solar-powered
stages, Bio-Diesel generators, locally grown and organic foods, a
comprehensive recycling program

and sustainable living and coastal restoration education.

Since Boogaloo is striving to be a "Zero-Waste Event", it will be the
first Green Music & Arts Festival in Louisiana. Let's set an

judges its success by the massive amount of garbage picked up, lets
judge our success by the lack of it!
