An Adventure Everyday – 504otos by Greg Rhoades Exhibit Wraps-Up at
Bacchanal Fine Wine & Spirits
Greg Rhoades, a freelance photographer, has been showcasing 30 cultural
photographs at Bacchanal Wine in Bywater. Although the exhibit was only
intended to last two weeks, the nearly six month exhibition will ultimately
come to a finale with a closing party on December 3rd at 7PM.
Greg's cultural photography from New Orleans, Venice, and Paris currently
fill Bacchanal's 200+ year old brick walls. New Orleans prints include
second lines, Mardi Gras Indians, musicians, architecture, and more
scenes from the eyes of a photographer coming of age in the crescent city.
"Bacchanal has been an amazing venue, allowing for great exposure in a
relaxed atmosphere. These photos represent the earliest time in my
photography development, following second lines across town, late-night
carousing with musicians, and the careful observance of
architecture," explains Greg Rhoades.
All archival quality framed prints are available for purchase, starting at
only $30. Photographer Greg Rhoades will be on hand throughout the night to
describe the images in detail. A jazz band will perform, Bacchanal's
legendary grill will be cooking, and champagne, beer, absinthe, and wine
will be flowing.
Be sure to check out the photographs during St. Andrews' (Andrzejki)
Festival on November 28th at Bacchanal. If you're unable to attend the
festival or the December 3rd closing party, signed archival prints can still
be ordered in plenty of time for Christmas.
The next artist transforming the walls of Bacchanal Wine in Bywater will be
Lee Celano, a photographer for NY Times and Reuters.
